NSEA – Belsay 2023

Just brilliant to have three teams out competing on Friday 2 June at the NSEA events at Belsay International Horse Trials. The teams comprised Martha C, Sophie, Frances, Evie, Elsie, Edie, Emma, Martha W and Bridie. We took part in a wide range of heights, JWS 60-80 and SJ 60-110 against the usual competing Schools. It was sunny all day and great to see so many current/past pupil families and teachers supporting our teams in the wonderful parkland setting at Belsay. Amongst the many rosettes (several red!) that came home, congratulations to Bridie on NSEA debut, Martha C in particular for a super round in the SJ 110 (pony) and it was exciting to watch the SJ team in the 80 SJ all go quick & clear at the outset of that class. Thanks to all at Belsay, Northern Equine & Silvermoor (who sponsored classes). We will be sad to see the Year 8’s (Martha C, Sophie, Frances, Evie, and Bridie) move to their new Schools in September but look forward to seeing them at Champs in October or out competing next season. We might need the support of another parent to take on the NSEA team manager reins so if you see James, keep clear!
