Our mission is to help your baby or child become SAFE and CONFIDENT in the water and have FUN in the process. Our incredible instructor, Jennie Belton teaches in our warm swimming pool on site at Mowden Hall School.
Our lessons provide opportunities to gain water confidence, acquire core aquatic skills and stroke improvement with small class sizes and instruction from an experienced ASA level 2 aquatic teacher, who also holds a level 2 qualification in teaching swimming to babies and toddlers. We teach from in the water to provide reassurance and support where needed.
Our lesson programme follows the ASA Learn to Swim Framework. This provides your child with the necessary skills to form a lifelong love for swimming and being in the water.
We provide a fun and friendly atmosphere to learn in and address every unique child’s needs ensure that all children can achieve at their own level.
The ASA Discovery Duckling Awards are the start of the learn to swim experience for all children. These awards are perfect for babies and toddlers and pre-school children who are new to swimming lessons.
Ideal for gaining water confidence while staying close to adult support, these awards are followed by the existing Duckling Awards.
The Discovery Duckling Awards 1-4 each have their own certificate, badge and sticker.
LEARN TO SWIM
Baby Otters - birth to 3 years
Babies and young children have a natural affinity with the water and this class is aimed at helping your baby gain confidence. These classes are filled with activities, games and songs to allow your child to feel happy and at ease in the water, develop key skills and a love of water.

Maximum in each class, 6 children and 6 parents/carers working on a one-to-one basis with a child.
Cygnets - 3+
Fun activities for children 3+, who are not yet at full time school. Fun lessons develop water confidence and encourage movement around the pool.
Maximum in each class 6 children.
Swans
Lessons are suitable for those who are at full time school and are non-swimmers or children who are not water confident. Lessons work towards the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework Stage 1 and 2 Awards.
Maximum in each class 8 children.
Seahorses
Children are required to be able to confidently travel 5 - 10 metres without flotation aids on their front and back, and submerge in water. Lessons work towards the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework Stage 3 Award.
Maximum in each class 8 children.
