The Year 7 production of Aladdin started off the school calendar, for what promises to be an academic year full of fun and varied performances. The cast of over 20 pupils rehearsed over several months, preparing for what resulted in a joke-packed and energetic show. The audience was treated to laughs, love and returned the favour with loud audience participation. The classic tale of Aladdin was a real contrast from the group's production of Shakespeare's Macbeth at the end of Year 6, which highlighted their versatility. A pantomime brings with it different challenges and effectively delivering so many quick-witted one-liners required focus and timing during rehearsals.
