Friday 17th March 2023 saw our inaugural senior sports dinner take place in the Dining Room. Pupils from Years 7 & 8, along with their families, were invited into School for an evening of celebration of sport at Mowden. As it was St. Patrick's Day, our amazing catering staff put together an Irish themed menu - with lamb stew, homemade soda bread and spring greens, followed by a mouth watering Guinness cake! The highlight of the evening was the speeches from our sports captains and vice captains, who spoke of their team's successes and what they have enjoyed about sport at Mowden. Special mentions must go to the captains of cricket, rounders and athletics, for talking so passionately about their sports, before the seasons have even started! Quizzes and games ensured the night was enjoyed by all, especially by those who won a chocolatey prize! The evening was a great success, and we are already looking forward to next year's event!
