Staff Spotlight - Meet Miss Pemberton, Nursery Teacher
My name is Miss Lucy Pemberton and I am proud to introduce myself as Nursery Teacher at Mowden Hall School. I have worked at Mowden Hall School for nearly two years now, after starting as Maternity cover!
Prior to teaching, I spent three years studying Business Management and working in the hospitality sector, however decided I wanted to pursue a career in an area where my care could make a difference to the lives of others every day - what better way to do that than to become a teacher! After further studies, I completed a PGCE at Northumbria University in 2019. I worked in supply teaching for one year, giving me the opportunity to work in a variety of different schools and year groups across the North East. I was thrilled to then accept the job as the Nursery Teacher here at Mowden Hall. Over the last two years, I feel privileged to have taught such lovely children! I love working in Nursery as every day is different and the children are always making me laugh!
Outside of school, my family and friends are very important to me and I enjoy spending time with my three nephews and niece. I have a love for cooking and baking, as well as travelling with my partner, Richard. I enjoy reading and have recently joined a Book Club, set up by one of my friends. In addition to this, I spend a lot of my free time running my online stationery business!
